EAST NASHVILLE — A fifth bed-and-breakfast inn has
opened in East Nashville. The Big Bungalow, at 618 Fatherland St. in Historic
Edgefield, opened Sept. 1.
Bed and breakfasts are an alternative for tourists who want to spend their
vacation away from crowds and do not like traditional hotels.
East Nashville's b&b inns give travelers a chance to explore the area's
small town feel, with locally owned shops and lively restaurants and cafes.
''The vibe in east Nashville is homey, with a lot of character and not
quite as suburban,'' added Ellen Warshaw, owner of The Big Bungalow. ''Bed
and breakfasts are just a great way to meet people.''
